Review sessions

The first mid-term is Thursday. Resources:

  • The professor has posted answer keys for all the problem sets
  • She’s also posted old exams (follow the same link)… notice this quarter’s first exam will cover more topics than the first practice exam she posted
  • Review session with Yoonie from 6-7:30 tonight in 1006 Giedt (dunno where that is)
  • Also, we’ll have a review session after section from 7-8 in 228 Wellman
  • I’ll have office hours tomorrow from noon to 2

Grades

Homework and midterm grades (including the extra 3 points for the multiple choice question I got wrong) have been uploaded to my.ucdavis.edu. Please check to make sure everything looks right and let me know if they don’t.

Extra office hours

Will will have extra office hours 10-12 tomorrow and 4-5 today.  Takeshi will also have extra office hours.

here is the homework questions for week 5. One is from Mankiw textbook “problems and applications”, 6th ed AND the other one is the one attached to the email I have sent on Wednesday. Due date is next Monday as always.

Computer lab

Section will be in 1131 Meyer today. I want to prepare you for the class project so here’s the agenda:

  • Data sources (where to get data?)
  • Getting data into Excel (file formats, etc)
  • Creating charts/graphs/pivot tables (PTs are cool)
  • Discuss the format of the paper
  • Project groups and topics

Also, I want to hand back and review the mid-term exam. I don’t think I’ll be done with grading…
